Delete your account & data
You can ask us to delete your TLDR Money account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
To request deletion, email hello@tldrmoney.app from your registered email address, with “Delete my account” in the subject line. A real person handles every request — there is no automated queue.
What gets deleted
Your account and your ledger — every transaction, category, budget and recurring entry — are removed, along with your preferences. Voice recordings are never kept in the first place: each one is deleted as soon as it is transcribed. We keep no separate copy of your ledger — see our privacy policy for how data is handled while your account is active.
Before you delete
- Download your data from Settings if you want a copy. The full download works on every plan and includes history the free plan hides.
- Cancel Pro in your app store. Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play, and deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription.
What we keep, and why
Where we are legally required to retain specific records — invoices and tax records, for example — those are kept for as long as the law requires, and nothing beyond that.
